Heat Booster

Overview

The Heat Booster PCB is a smart, automated control board designed to accelerate your room's heating. Powered by a Wi-Fi-enabled ESP32-C3 Super Mini PRO, this board actively monitors your radiator's heat using a precise AHT20 sensor. When the radiator warms up, it automatically drives up to six 12V fans to push warm air into the room, drastically improving thermal efficiency.

Fully compatible with Home Assistant, the Heat Booster gives you complete control over your comfort. You can easily adjust the trigger temperature from your phone and set auto-off timers to save energy. It features safe, reliable power management—including robust MOSFET switching with built-in diode protection—all powered simply through a standard 12V DC barrel jack.

  • Microcontroller: ESP32-C3 Super Mini PRO (Wi-Fi enabled for smart home integration).

  • Thermal Sensing: AHT20 sensor for automatic fan triggering based on radiator temperature.

  • Smart Features: Full Home Assistant integration for adjustable temperature thresholds and custom auto-off timers.

  • Primary Function: Drives 4–6 cooling fans to improve radiator thermal exchange.

  • Power Input: 12V DC via a DC005 female barrel connector.

  • Power Management: Onboard 12V to 5V DC-DC step-down converter for the MCU.

  • Fan Driver: AO3400A MOSFET for efficient 12V load switching.

  • Hardware Protection: 1N5819 flyback diode to protect the circuit from inductive motor kicks.
